IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (4-25-22)
"Promotion Education-Based Athletics in Indiana"
As a student-athlete, you are always facing tough teams and individuals who are hard to beat. The good thing about sports is that you usually get a second chance somewhere down the road.
Sometimes there are no second chances with automobiles and car wrecks. Once you get behind the wheel, your attention must be on the road and the other vehicles around you. It is easy to be distracted by others in your car, your phone, music or any number of things.
Driving is one of the most important responsibilities you have. The laws regarding speeding, drinking and driving are there to protect you and your passengers and others on the road.
Unfortunately, around the end of the school year, we often hear of a tragedy involving high school students and car wrecks. So many of them can be avoided with common sense and concentration.
Do your best to protect yourself and those who ride with you! Be a responsible driver!
